If we take a step back, we can see that motherhood is the perfect balance of joy and sadness, wonder and pain, too much and not enough. When we try and make it more of one thing than the other, we set ourselves up for heartache.
We question why it’s so hard at times, forgetting that it’s supposed to be this way so that we can see the beauty of both sides. So that we can grow.
There are no rainbows without rain. We don’t know what courage feels like until we have felt fear. You can only truly appreciate what it means to know you are home after you have been lost.
Motherhood is the same.
In order to enjoy the beauty and the highs of it, we must accept the ugly and the lows of it.
They are opposite sides of the same coin, inseparable.
